In our home we try to eat foods that are as unprocessed as possible. While we still buy some packaged things (pasta, condiments, jelly, veggie chips etc.) if there is a way to make something from scratch, save money, and not sacrifice flavor (or nutrition) then I (Carrie) will make it. I’m not afraid to try anything from scratch! And I have to say, along the way of learning what works and what doesn’t, I’ve had some HUGE successes from my at home versions. One of our favorites is this simple dip recipe. Who doesn’t love a good ranch dip? Perfect for dipping veggies and veggie chips in (or if you’re three, it’s perfect for dipping your sandwich, fruit and cheese into). Plus if you add a little buttermilk to it, it’s delicious on wraps, salads and anything else your heart desires.
My recipe is below:
1 1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. dill
1/2 tsp. minced/dried onion
1/2 tsp. dried parsley
Mix it all up, and dip away!
